DCS Leads Forensics

Gone but not forgotten…

By Theresa Clark|31st March 2022

It is with a very heavy heart, that we announce that our dear friend and colleague Neil Turton sadly passed away on Sunday the 27th of March after fighting a very brave battle with pancreatic cancer.

Neil joined our DCS business development team nearly 15 years ago back in December 2007. Hailing from Barnsley in South Yorkshire he was known for his ‘say it like it is’ attitude, making him quite the character here at Boston Lodge. He loved talking all things food & drink related as in his spare time, he was quite the chef, I think we’re still trying to work off the calories from his ‘Girdle Buster Pie’ that he entered into our’ Bake Off’ competition to raise money for charity pre-lockdown. He was also our go-to guy for holiday inspiration as he loved nothing more than booking his next amazing family trip and planning it to the letter.

He was always the first to treat all the engineers at Christmas to festive drinks and our receptionist to a regular bag of Maltesers.

He leaves behind a big Neil shaped hole here at DCS and will be sorely missed, we send our support and condolences to all of Neil’s family at this incredibly sad time, you are all in our thoughts.

Once Neil discovered he had pancreatic cancer he began raising funds for two charities Pancreatic Cancer Research and Macmillan Nurses.

Neil’s previous Just Giving pages are now closed but we are incredibly proud to announce that he raised £2487.74 for Macmillan Cancer Support and £2530 for Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund which has been received by the charities and his family has had messages of huge thanks and gratitude in return.
