Our troubleshooting services are usually based on an initial free-of-charge visit to ascertain the nature of the issue, followed by our estimation of the problems, which is then followed by our fix visit. Removing viruses, spyware and rootkits once a system is infected can be very difficult. Here, at DCS, we use a selection of specialised tools and utilities to detect these, both in and outside the operating system. In some instances we have to manually extract the infection. All our engineers are experienced in troubleshooting these types of problems whether it be by phone, remotely, callout or in our workshop.

Sometimes, it is far easier and quicker to backup all the data files and settings from the system, then reformat the hard drive and restore the original operating system, reinstall programs and copy back the client data. Our engineers will then reconfigure the system back to a ‘clean’ usable state.

In our Workshop; the normal procedure is to backup the whole system, health-check the hardware and then start troubleshooting the fault. Once the fault is detected, it is then rectified and we install any updates and/or patches required and advise of any further improvements that can be made.
