Network Servers

Deans Computer Services Plc (DCS) have been providing IT support & network Server solutions in Yorkshire and Lancashire since their emergence. With our engineers based in the regions of Leeds, Harrogate, Bradford, York, Huddersfield, Halifax, Manchester, Doncaster and Bury we are ready to install, supply and support you both locally and on a nationwide basis in the UK.

DCS offer the latest in server technology that provides our client with the best of both performance and resilience. With the HP range of servers we offer, they are able to accommodate hundreds of gigabytes of RAM, up to 6 processor cores per socket and dozens of hard drives, and suit the needs of organisations small, medium and enterprise.

Fault Tolerant Solutions

DCS can provide you with sophisticated HP servers which have fault tolerant hard drive arrays, power supplies and network cards. In the unlikely event any of these components failing, the server will seamlessly operate as normal. This coupled with battery backups, a multiple hard disk configuration maximises system up time and minimises business disruption. In the background our helpdesk is notified by the server of any failure, and parts and engineer are sent to site.

24/7 Server Monitoring

DCS have the ability to access your servers in any state and diagnose the problem remotely from our offices. We also offer 24/7 server monitoring, where alerts and regular reports of the operating system and applications are sent to our helpdesk.  If any action is required, our helpdesk will log a call, notify you the customer and an engineer will investigate

Backup Solutions

Backups are paramount to any network. DCS setup a full daily backup routine and recommend USB hard drives instead of tape. Not only do USB hard drives eliminate the need to purchase expensive tape drives, but our experience has shown they are the quickest in a disaster recovery scenario. We recommend a rotation of 9 drives – this consists of one each for Monday thru Thursday and a rotation of 5 for Fridays; therefore allowing you to retrieve data from up to 5 weeks previous
