Automatic Updates

IntY MailDefender automatically updates its protection every five minutes, so your clients will know they're always protected from the latest viruses. As this happens at internet level, the updates won't slow network speeds or restrict internet traffic.

Multiple defence systems

IntY MailDefender features several products from intY and other providers, including Sophos, the number one anti-virus engine, and intYscan. intYscan defends even against the latest unknown viruses by identifying characteristics that commonly appear in email viruses.

Scanning for spam

IntY MailDefender's content filters analyse email web links and identify content from inappropriate sources. Using "Bayesian analysis", the service also measures the likelihood of an email being spam, while language filters allow clients to quarantine emails written in specified character sets. What's more, intY MailDefender's technology scans global email every day to improve its classification.

Control features

Unlike some products that block all emails resembling spam, intY MailDefender lets businesses create their own spam definitions. They can also specify which staff members can access and release quarantined mail in a secure mail area. Meanwhile, intY MailDefender's optional management reporting tool provides email statistics for each domain to help administrators identify virus hotspots.
